Shut the fuck up.

The Who is fantastic by the way. In a rock opera way or any other.

Define rock opera please :(

Eyelobe Dec 28th, 2007 04:08 AM

Tenacious D and the Pick of Destiny.

\m/

Sethomas Dec 28th, 2007 04:11 AM

I really like the part in Verdi's "Un Ballo in Maschera" where the conspirators mock the King Gustav character, for which part the characters sing melodized laughter in unison.

Verdi sure could rock his opera.

Eyelobe Dec 28th, 2007 04:18 AM

Amadeus?

Definition of Rock opera that was ALREADY STATED IN THIS THREAD YOU COLOSSAL IDIOT. (zbf, not you GW i would never say that about you)

Rongi Dec 28th, 2007 01:13 PM

The Who's Quadrophenia should count as a rock opera. I dont like that album tho

Oh and I am very dissapointed that none of you faggots reccomended "The Rise And Fall Of Ziggy Stardust and The Spiders from Mars"

Sacks Dec 29th, 2007 11:11 AM

Ziltoid The Omniscient!

Girl Drink Drunk Dec 29th, 2007 08:39 PM

Alice Cooper's Welcome to my nightmare.

Tadao Dec 30th, 2007 01:51 AM

Some might disagree, but I feel that Jethro Tull's Auqualung is a story. And a great album too.

Tadao Dec 30th, 2007 01:52 AM

Oh... and Mercyful Fate's Mellissa is a rock opera.

Tadao Dec 30th, 2007 02:04 AM

1 more... My favorite (besides Quadrophenia) is Roger Water's Pros and Cons of Hitchinking. I only like to listen to it when I'm depressed and angry though. I have owned the other Roger Waters and I don't like them. This one has Eric Clapton playing Gutiar. Pink Floyds Final Cut is good to. I guess when PF was disbanding they had a choice between these 2 albums for their final album.

Girl Drink Drunk Dec 30th, 2007 10:14 AM

Pink Floyd didn't disband until around 1995. The rest of the members kept on going after Roger Waters left following the release of the Final Cut.

Tadao Dec 30th, 2007 01:51 PM

That's not pink floyd. That's crap. I consider them dead after Rodger left.

Cedar Dec 31st, 2007 03:15 PM

i think Dream Theater and the like suck, because it doesnt sound like music is just like LOOK AT WHAT I PLAY IS SUPER HARD TO DO AND SOUNDS LIKE CRAP! thats not progressive is just people showing off.

MLE Dec 31st, 2007 04:24 PM

I don't think you've listened to enough dream theater. I've been clasically trained as a vocalist, and have a fairly high appreciation for music, and personally, I really like dream theater.

Spetsnaz Dec 31st, 2007 04:38 PM

Dream Theater pwns from a technical standpoint.

If you want to see super hard, try to fuckin play like Malmstreen.

Cedar Dec 31st, 2007 04:53 PM

fuck neo-classical

MLE Dec 31st, 2007 04:59 PM

I think you're letting hate cloud your judgement. I don't like most neo-classical. Don't group dream theater in there.
