I haven't played a good console shooter since RE4 ;(

Emu Oct 24th, 2007 09:48 PM

Is $25 a good price to pay for a perfect condition green label copy of Symphony of the Night? :[

Guitar Woman Oct 24th, 2007 10:05 PM

holy fucking SHIT yes

Guitar Woman Oct 24th, 2007 10:05 PM

Used copies of SotN usually go for over 40 fucking dollars, and if you do not buy that right now you are retarded

Emu Oct 24th, 2007 10:06 PM

I'm going there tomorrow :[

Emu Oct 24th, 2007 10:11 PM

I'm totally making this DVD case for it :D

Guitar Woman Oct 24th, 2007 10:11 PM

If you even get it.

And if you do, burn it for me :[

Emu Oct 24th, 2007 10:12 PM

I have an ISO of it but it has no music. :\

Zomboid Oct 24th, 2007 10:26 PM

OR you could wait till you get that 360 and buy it on xbox live arcade for 800 points. That's what I did. It's even got the option of slightly enhancing the graphics so they're not as pixelated.

Emu Oct 24th, 2007 10:28 PM

I probably won't be getting one til that Falcon thing happens, though. So yeah.

Guitar Woman Oct 24th, 2007 10:32 PM

you could also get that faggoty collection on the PSP, but they re-did all the voice acting so I'm guessing it won't be nearly as awesome

Chojin Oct 24th, 2007 11:43 PM

We got Zack & Wiki for Wii today.

The best way to describe it is point-and-click SCUMM-style puzzle adventuring, without any of the connecting scenes (there's no walking to each area and no backtracking, it has distinct levels which you can generally see all-at-once and the puzzles are self-contained).

I still prefer the traditional SCUMM format, but it's an interesting take on the genre and still a very solid game (and a lot more morbid than I was expecting, too - you can die in more ways that you could in Leisure Suit Larry).

It's gettings scores of 85-95 from all the publications that have reviewed it so far - check it out.

MLE Oct 25th, 2007 01:27 AM

I got the new phoenix wright game guys.

Guitar Woman Oct 25th, 2007 01:32 AM

Is that the one where his ex-girlfriend DOESN'T POOP?

MLE Oct 25th, 2007 01:37 AM

i'd like to think that comment was for eric.

Emu Oct 25th, 2007 12:08 PM

I got SOTN ;<

The music fucks up a bit at the beginning but it seems to be working okay otherwise.

Also the store I went to had a factory sealed copy of Fatal Frame II for $40, which is how much I paid for my used copy. I hate getting screwed. :(

Emu Oct 25th, 2007 03:18 PM

evidently, smartypants!

EisigerBiskuit Oct 25th, 2007 09:37 PM

just finished phantom hourglass, and still trying to find working settings for TF2. Ham ass was fun, but I finished before I could get all the golden boat pieces.

Chojin Oct 26th, 2007 10:03 PM

Man, Oni for ps2 is terrible.

And it doesn't seem like the PC version would be much better.

Emu Oct 26th, 2007 10:20 PM

Isn't Oni like the first game ever on the PS2? :[

Also of course it's terrible. Even Gamestop won't try to wrench more than 3 dollars out of it.

Guitar Woman Oct 26th, 2007 10:23 PM

Haha, I thought that game was great when I was younger.

Also, it was developed by bungie, which means I knew about them before they were cool

Emu Oct 26th, 2007 10:25 PM

Every time I see Oni in the bargain bin I seriously consider buying it simply because it is so cheap. On occasion I get the desire to splurge on a whole bunch of 3-5 dollar games and so I can go home and be disappointed, but not spend a lot of money.

Chojin Oct 26th, 2007 11:44 PM

I got it because I'm trying to complete my bungie collection. I got Myth a long time ago, but that was when cd burners were new, so I'd buy a game, burn it, then sell the original on eBay for full retail. So I'm missing a lot of late 90s PC games :<

MetalMilitia Oct 27th, 2007 09:16 AM

Crysis demo.

It's really good actually. The graphics and physics are fantastic but one of the best things about it is how flexible the gameplay is.
