How good would you look if you were three & a half year old internet? >:

Sethomas Nov 14th, 2006 04:45 PM

Oh man, those macros she made talking about "MJ". Those were priceless. She looked somewhat decent, didn't she? I'm not going back THERE to look. But she was so awkward that it'd be like crushing on your sister if you ever thought about wanting to get to know her, in the sense that, God it'd be disgusting. What a waste.

I have met five people on five seperate occasions in three seperate states who didn't know who John Adams was. JOHN ADAMS. Remember the Eddie Izzard bit where he mentions General Lafayette, only to be met by silence? We Americans seem to have the habit of ignoring history entirely, this is not restricted to the histories of foreign cultures. Sheesh.

Pub Lover Nov 14th, 2006 06:17 PM

Seth, would you say the life of Josef K was Kafkaesque? :eek

Or, to recall your I-Mock past, Winston Smith orwellian?

Sethomas Nov 14th, 2006 06:19 PM

Yeah. I just love how Francophobes go on and on about how we saved them during WWII, which is quite an exaggeration given the relative amount of effort by the Soviets to rid the world of Hitler. But they totally overlook the XYZ Affair of the 1790s or some shit like that, which was lolz all over.

executioneer Nov 14th, 2006 07:07 PM

pub how come you capitalized kafkaesque but didn't capitalize Orwellian :/ :fartin

FartinMowler Nov 14th, 2006 07:23 PM

Imagine the conversation before they did a circle jerk :/

Pub Lover Nov 14th, 2006 07:29 PM

I wasn't happy about that second sentence at all & rewrote it several times.

In the end I made it a lowercase 'o' because it looked a little like a double barreled name, Winston Smith-Orwellian.

Sam Nov 14th, 2006 07:35 PM

We need more 'phobes in this thread.
