I am in need of a movie series whose part 2 was just as good or better than it's part 1.

More specifically, a series of movies that only had 2 in the series. No part 3.

Example: Gremlins and Gremlins 2. There were only 2 of them, and the second one was better than the first.

It's for a hilarious joke that I'm writing.

Conan and then the next one ( the adventurer and the barbarian, can't rember which was which)

Guyver 1 and Guyver 2

FX and FX2

Addam's Family Reunion was a straight to video piece of trash. It doesn't have a single person involved with the good movies (other than maybe Lurch), so I don't think it should count.

If the second movie at least DID WELL without being particularly good, then that works.

What? How the fuck is Army of Darkness not a sequel? It's more of a sequel than Evil Dead 2 was.
