Oh god, Vernors >:

10,000 Volt Ghost Aug 14th, 2009 10:42 AM

Vernors is delicious.

Aaarg Aug 14th, 2009 12:07 PM

I've seen Vernors everywhere.

I think I'd seen Cheerwine once or twice before moving down to NC.

Kitsa Aug 14th, 2009 12:10 PM

I can't stand vernor's. I like Canada Dry, specifically the cranberry one they sell from Nov-Jan.

I also like Birch Beer but they don't sell it here.

dirtyxblondexdame Aug 14th, 2009 12:28 PM

wish the Stewarts drinks didn't cost $8 for a 6-pack :(

Aaarg Aug 14th, 2009 01:47 PM

Flavored Canada Dry is delicious, indeed. Except the green tea kind. I like green tea, I like ginger ale, you would assume they'd blend well. Nope.

The best soda I can remember ever having is Boylan's. I don't know how far their distribution is or even where they're from, but every so often I'll come across them (in the General Store in Clifton, VA; in the Spy Museum Cafeteria in DC; in a sandwich shop in Manassas, VA). All of the flavors I've tried have been delicious - root beer, orange cream, grape.

Also there's some Virginia-based bottling company that makes root beer that I think I've come across in only two shops (one's a farmer's market near Winchester and the other is a souvenir shop near the WV border along US522). If I remember, it's pretty good.

Jones is fucking gross.

Kitsa Aug 14th, 2009 01:52 PM

I can deal with Fufu Berry but I'm not way into the other Jones flavors.

10,000 Volt Ghost Aug 14th, 2009 01:53 PM

I like Canada dry but not the flavored kind. Only place I can ever find birch beer is at a bar. Totally worth going too because they have 10 cent wings too.

Aaarg Aug 14th, 2009 02:16 PM

The Jerry's Subs & Pizza in Lake Ridge, VA has birch beer.

Kitsa Aug 14th, 2009 02:17 PM

I used to get it in Jersey when I was on vacation from school in Ithaca. Once I came back to the Midwest, though, no more birch beer. I found some bottled at Jungle Jim's, but it's not nearly as good as draft.

http://www.jonessoda.com/ I haven't been able to bring myself to try their holiday flavors, like gravy..ugh. Strawberry lime is the best.

dirtyxblondexdame Aug 14th, 2009 03:10 PM

best birch beer in NJ is at Hot Dog Johnnie's out in West Bumblefuck (somwhere around Butler). homemade and delicious :)

now i want some.

Colonel Flagg Aug 14th, 2009 03:34 PM

Birch beer is effing awesome. It's one of the best reasons to live in Pennsy. :)

I'm also partial to Black Cherry Wishniak (Is it Frank's? Thanks!)

:D

Hello people.

I don't want to be an attention whore, so I'll just announce my grand return to the forums in here. That is all for now.

The Leader Aug 14th, 2009 04:21 PM

Get lost.

Mad Melvin Aug 14th, 2009 04:25 PM

Fuck you.

The Leader Aug 14th, 2009 04:26 PM

I wish someone would.

But that's neither here nor there.

Why even do this much?

Mad Melvin Aug 14th, 2009 04:33 PM

because I am insecure and need the approval of strangers.

captain516 Aug 14th, 2009 05:09 PM

I DO NOT APPROVE OF YOU MELVIN. DOES THAT HELP?

Last time I throw myself at you.

Is "neither here nor there" your specification as to preference, or just an incidental?

Tadao Aug 14th, 2009 05:52 PM
