That conversation was confidential and personal, fag.

FartinMowler Aug 30th, 2006 05:53 PM

Hey, Pjalne :) I'm working on a new script that I'm either calling

Stalkers and Homo's or Blueberry Cereal and the children it attracts

Chojin Aug 30th, 2006 05:57 PM

I assume this is an autobiography

that's what i was going for

Fathom Zero Aug 30th, 2006 08:54 PM

I need help understanding a math problem:

c + 8d = 180

This is just an example, I just need to know how to find the answer.

WELL BUDDY YOU CAN'T SOLVE A TWO-VARIABLE PROBLEM WITH ONE EQUATION, SO WE CAN ONLY GO AS FAR AS THIS:

c + 8d = 180

c = -8d + 180

>:

Well, it seems pretty open ended...
Let me see...

Well, "d" could stand for 15, and "c" could be 60.

But, again, it's too open ended.

Remember the order of operations. Also, ask whoever assigned you that you that problem how close the variables have to be.

Fathom Zero Aug 30th, 2006 09:43 PM

I didn't make math. Don't look at me like I'm dumb. I don't get the damned thing, either. That's why I asked. Anyways, it's all in relation to angles. Thanks for helping as much as you could, though.

Sethomas Aug 30th, 2006 09:43 PM

There are infinite potential values of c and d that could follow the relationship cited as the "problem" itself. It looks like a predicate to linear algebra of some sort, which I played with a little in high school and hated with it got all limit-laden in college electric engineering problems. I don't remember how to do that, I just remember being all like "I DON'T WANT TO FIND THE LIMIT, IT'S GODDAMN ALGEBRA YOU FUCK".

What I mean, is you should be able to solve for something like

10x+5y=9
4y+3z=11
3x+8z=9,453,748,936

But taken individually, none of those equations can actually tell you anything meaninful.

Juttin Aug 30th, 2006 09:46 PM

I love when teachers give you open ended algebra problems, then look at you with a dark glare when you get it wrong, due to it's large open endedness, like it was supposed to be an obvious answer, or something

Fathom Zero Aug 30th, 2006 09:56 PM

That happens to me every time. Everyone else gets some magic number that matches everyone else's except for mine. :( Perhaps I just don't think like that. Oh, and thanks Seth!

Esuohlim Aug 30th, 2006 09:58 PM

How about thanks Esuohlim >:

Esuohlim Aug 30th, 2006 09:59 PM

I mean seriously.

Esuohlim Aug 30th, 2006 10:03 PM

I'm good at math see

Fathom Zero Aug 30th, 2006 10:03 PM

I already said thanks to both you and Justin. Seth just happened to post a few seconds after I did and I didn't adequately thank him.

Fathom Zero Aug 30th, 2006 10:04 PM

I like your math more than the kind I get at Skool.

My name looks like shit next to the colorful mods and admins.

Chojin Aug 31st, 2006 09:17 PM

Maybe you could try being funnier.

Misdemonar Aug 31st, 2006 09:24 PM

I would try, but it's not in my power.

xbxDaniel Aug 31st, 2006 09:38 PM

I'm almost positive somebody will make a stupid thread in the Stalk-o-mania board about how mods suck or some shit like that, and how the grey names should band together. I hate my peers.

Misdemonar Aug 31st, 2006 09:40 PM

I'm not on chojin's list so I hate myself. :(

xbxDaniel Aug 31st, 2006 09:42 PM

I'm sorry Misdemonar, I didn't mean to hurt your feelings.

Milhouse made the fatal flaw of all websites by proclaiming that they will update when they feel like it. Jixby and I did the same thing with our comics and we ended up never making another one again.

Fathom Zero Sep 2nd, 2006 11:56 PM

I linked pub to the gw thread when i made it and he said something like 'oh thanks but i don't go there anymore'.

that's like

GUYS I'M ON SECOND 56 OF MY DIET CAN YOU TELL HOW MUCH WEIGHT I'VE LOST ;)

executioneer Sep 8th, 2006 06:15 PM

well what the hell did he do that for, did i miss a inportant thread :(

Chojin Sep 8th, 2006 06:33 PM

I have a theory that Pub has a certain threshold of sanity, and every day that he spends on the internet brings him e'er closer until the day he snaps and curls up in a ball in his room sobbing and wondering aloud why life is a series of meaningless tragedies. A week later, he will once again feel confident enough to use the internet and the cycle beings anew.

GADZOOKS Sep 9th, 2006 01:52 AM

Maybe he figured out that he was living in paradise and didn't need the internet.
