I have DSL, I just happen to be downloading a constant stream of Brazilian fart porn at the same time.

You're right. How could such a pile of garbage be fun at all with your friends?

If you got that butt hurt over a game that cost $14.99 for weeks then I don't know what to tell you man.

PS PROTIPZ:

Open Steam, click the My games tab, then simply right click the Killing Floor icon, and finally choose DELETE LOCAL CONTENT.

:lol :lol :lol :lol

I have to say as much as i hated the idea of steam when hl2 came out, it is pretty outstanding. Just having the ability to download any of the games tied to your account at any time is great. No more cds or product keys to worry about. In fact it would be fantastic to have it for software, movies and music too.

but i still prefer not paying for something over paying for it.

I don't really sell any of the games I own, but it's nice being able to buy used copies when the original isn't on sale.

If they would implement a way for people to sell their licenses for games for however much they wanted to charge, that would be a step in the right direction.

But what I'd really like is for them to make it so that you don't have to check in with Steam/automatically download new patches when you're playing a game offline. As I've said before, not every new patch is a step in the right direction.

That's on the developers, though, not Steam. With any multiplayer game, everyone needs to be using the latest version.

For non-multiplayer games there should probably be an opt-out button, but who really gives a shit?

The onus is on the developer to make the patch work right, otherwise, if it's Valve's fault, Steam updates itself regularly enough anyway to be annoying to me.

I do because the opt-out hasn't worked for me in the past, and also because when I say that a patch Steam forces you to download can break a game, I'm speaking from personal experience.

I played Killing Floor with all my friends, and we shortly stopped playing after that. I don't think it's a good game, plus it looks outdated

Fathom Zero Sep 10th, 2009 04:28 PM

It uses whatever Unreal Engine that 2004 used, so I could only assume it is dated.

DougClayton4231 Sep 10th, 2009 07:50 PM

Is Killing Floor really that bad? I never tried it due to the fact that it looked like a game from 2005. My only issue with steam is when games magically become "unavailable" at random. I want to play HL2 goddamn it!

Microshock Sep 10th, 2009 09:37 PM

I bought it because they had some kind of weld feature so you can weld doors to keep the zombies out, but it's such a stupid part of the game.

Tadao Sep 10th, 2009 09:38 PM

spoooooooooooooooooooooooooooky

Microshock Sep 10th, 2009 09:50 PM

Oh, you're still on that shit. Yeah I see everyone's noticing that you're trying to ignore me

Fathom Zero Nov 7th, 2009 01:15 PM

I downloaded a copy of Borderlands and applied the crack to the Securom BS, playing it for about twenty minutes just now.

I found that my computer runs it very nicely, better than Left 4 Dead 2 as a matter of fact. Given that there is no demo and recommended specs count for nothing when judging whether or not a game can run, I would not be buying the game otherwise.

Because I downloaded an illicit copy and got to actually see how well it runs, I am now buying the game. :hat
