Haven't had time. I'm at work 45 hrs a week and have a girl. Final Fantasy XI takes up a lot of my time too.

I'm in the middle of watching The Day the Earth Stood Still on AMC. I can wholeheartedly say that I have no desire to see the new one now, as this one is more than adequate and doesn't feature Keanu Reeves.

Finished Poultrygeist last night. It was really good. I still liked Terror Firmer a lot better but I've only watched Poultrygeist once so far. Going over to my friend Niki's tonight so she can pinpoint the parts she is in.

I loved the line

Spoilers!

Foot Fist Way - Not bad. Will probably appeal to fans of Napoleon Dynamite.

The Dark Knight - What can I say? It's as good as everyone said it would be. Looks phenomenal in HD too.

Ghostbusters 2 - Caught this on TV for the first time in years and it holds up better that I expected.

I'm watching clips of Dogma on YouTube right now.

Double Dragon. I don't know why I watched it, I don't know why I'll watch it again. Terrible, terrible film.

Was it on TNT? I see it a lot on there from time to time. Isn't there a Double Dragon arcade game in the background in one of the scenes in the movie?

Yeah it was on one of those channels that throws movies like that on TV after midnight to get the insomniac stoner demographic. I never noticed a Double Dragon arcade game, but then again I've seen this movie like 4 times and couldn't give a plot summary to save my life. Alyssa Milano is hot, though, so it's got that going for it.

10,000 Volt Ghost Dec 13th, 2008 10:14 PM

:lol

Plot summary of double dragon from what I remember:

Two brothers and Alyssa Milano being hot. Some fight scene. Some meathead with a machine sticking out of his head steal one of the police cars from the Super Mario Bros movie. There's some radar tracking. Another fight scene. Double Dragon arcade machine. A chase scene involving some run down future hoods. Fight scene.

It's been a while since I've seen it but I think it's pretty close.

pac-man Dec 13th, 2008 11:03 PM

Replace the second fight with the brothers being chased by a bunch of gangs like a shitty neon version of The Warriors and it's pretty spot on.

Kitsa Dec 14th, 2008 08:49 AM

Was Double Dragon the one with the guy from Iron Chef America?

kahljorn Dec 14th, 2008 01:26 PM

Resident Evil: Degeneration

Best resident evil film and yet it left me with an "Ehhh" feeling

Dimnos Dec 16th, 2008 04:52 PM

Because it has nothing to do with the last three RE movies, it has to be the better one.

MetalMilitia Dec 16th, 2008 04:56 PM

The Bunker - I quite enjoyed this film, it's weird though that all films involving haunted military bunkers are English. I count three that I've seen so far; The Outpost, The Bunker and Death Watch.
Of the three The Outpost is by far the best.

Sukiyaki Western Django - Really great flick.

The Wrestler.

Hell of a performance by Mickey Rourke. The story is decent, but it's really Mickey that keeps you wanting to keep watching.

I've got to get out to see that this weekend. Read a few reviews and an article in Sports Illustrated that labeled it the best sports movie of the year hands down. Plus you can't go wrong with Mickey (unless he's boxing, that is :\)

Embee90 Dec 21st, 2008 03:32 AM

The two most recent movies I've seen that were new to me were 'Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas' and 'Gone Baby Gone.' I loved 'Gone Baby Gone,' but 'Fear and Loathing' just confused the shit out of me . . . I couldn't follow it at all.
