MarioRPG Mar 18th, 2008 03:16 PM

He looks proud of his life.

RaNkeri Mar 18th, 2008 03:31 PM

Aww fuck!

So, eastern vacations start on thursday. My goal was to finish my physics' laboratory analysis by wednesday. After that, i'd only have one more laboratory analysis to finish. Well, it seems that I've completely FUCKED OUT the first part of the analysis which means I cannot finish the fucking 2nd part either. So, I've ended up with only 1/3 done correctly. The fucking physichs laboratory will be closed on tomorrow and thursday, so unless I'm able to fucking whine my way to get to recalculate all the needed quantities I'm forced to postpone the recalculations till next week. Oh yeah, and I have to write down a fucking commentary too.

Now why is it such a bitch to be postponed? Because I'm also supposed to read for the upcoming entrance examinations and I'd really prefer not to have any fucking extra stress to keep my mind occupied, while I fucking try to study! Now, sure, I could just let those anylyses be but unfortunately I need to get them passed to get enough these fucking studypoints to receive the monthly assistance to pay my rent, without the need of burning up my own money.

I can feel the fucking nervous breakdown getting closer.

It's in spanish. :lol I'm dumb and I thought it was the same show.

What it the bee show about? I watch a lot of the spanish channel even though I don't understand most of it. It just hypnotizes me or something:hypno

Sexy ass HAWT chicks.
I know... I used to watch those dumbass soap operas.

MattJack Mar 18th, 2008 09:42 PM

you ever notice that everything on the spanish has a chick in it with obligatory cleavage?

Game shows, talk shows, soap operas, news, church services, etc. It is really odd.

I understand/speak some spanish so I like to try and figure out what they are saying. It's a game that I like to play with myself when I'm baked.

Fathom Zero Mar 18th, 2008 10:03 PM

All I saw was "I like to play with myself when I'm baked."

JediScum Mar 18th, 2008 10:19 PM

Mattjack - I do understand. There was a time where I was trying to become more fluent in Spanish so, I'd watch DVD's with Spanish subtitles and I'd watch the whatever Spanish channel I could get in with my shitty, cable-less TV.

Everytime anything was on a Spanish station, my learning process would be interrupted by my yelling, "JESUS CHRIST, MAN!!! THOSE TITS ARE HUGE AND PERFECT!! FUCK! SO ARE HERS!!! AND HERS TOO!!!"

Which is why I no comprendo largo Espanol.

MattJack Mar 18th, 2008 10:34 PM

I like to do that too Fathom :(

Esuohlim Mar 19th, 2008 02:17 AM

HEY FAGS, QUICK QUESTION.

If the time was 1:45, would you say it was "quarter of two" or "quarter to two"?

liquidstatik Mar 19th, 2008 02:18 AM

quarter to two ;o

executioneer Mar 19th, 2008 02:45 AM

i think only english people say quarter of two

it sounds english to me, anyway (I AM PROBALBY WRONG I APOLOGIZE ENGLAND)

liquidstatik Mar 19th, 2008 03:00 AM

most of the time i'd just say 25 'til 8]

ElPila666 Mar 19th, 2008 03:01 AM

Do you know how do they call a quarter of cheese in England?

ElPila666 Mar 19th, 2008 03:02 AM

Honey Bunny!

executioneer Mar 19th, 2008 03:02 AM

man i just say what time it is :( all that quarter to or twenty after stuff is confusing

executioneer Mar 19th, 2008 03:03 AM

SPEAKING OF CONFUSING

ElPila666 Mar 19th, 2008 03:07 AM

I just called Liquid Honey Bunny i didn't mean that the english called a quarted of cheese like that

ElPila666 Mar 19th, 2008 03:12 AM

GOOD MORNING
GOOD EVENING
GOOD AFTERNOON
GOOD NIGHT

executioneer Mar 19th, 2008 03:13 AM

oh shoot

well i would guess they might call it a quarter of a cheese but i'm sure there's some cockney rhyming slang for it that all the east londoners use because lord knows they feel the need to sound like a psychotic in the "word salad" stage

probably like "wine kleenex" or something

"i'm off to shops to pick up a wine kleenex and a loaf of scott, back in a few"

liquidstatik Mar 19th, 2008 03:13 AM

hey babe ;]

RaNkeri Mar 19th, 2008 03:26 AM

what a jolly good subject you lads have :posh

ElPila666 Mar 19th, 2008 03:34 AM

Oi mate how do you do?

executioneer Mar 19th, 2008 03:39 AM

i think i screwed up how you're supposed to do cockny rhyming slang, whoops

liquidstatik Mar 19th, 2008 03:58 AM

its cool man idk what that means anyways

ElPila666 Mar 19th, 2008 03:59 AM

I'm gonna show that site to my english teacher

JediScum Mar 19th, 2008 04:07 AM

I have primarily been raised in missouri/illinois. I always heard "quarter 'til".
I moved to Columbus for a bit, and first heard "quarter of". Then i found, the person who said that was from Pennsylvania.

Not to diss anyone, but it must be a regional East Coast thing.

You know, like no one says "hella" outside San Francisco.

RaNkeri Mar 19th, 2008 04:14 AM

You buy it by the Kg, not in quarters. I guess you might buy a quarter of a wheel of cheese but I've never done that.
One thing go note about the English cheese industry is that we call three quarters of a wheel of cheese a pacman of cheese. It's rare you'd ever want to buy a whole pacman of cheese though.

In terms of time we do our best to confuse foreigners by saying things like "it's quarter past" and omitting the actual hour (as a result of this no one in england ever knows the exact time).

Rhyming slang is only really used by Northern bread salesmen and criminals. Some slang has made its way south though; gypsy's kiss (piss) for example.

Esuohlim Mar 19th, 2008 08:52 AM

OK just checking because I read this site that said everywhere else in the country but here they say "quarter of" and I knew it was lying to me.

While we do have some absurd ways of speaking, that isn't one of them.

I asked this question in this thread already. It's in a They Might Be Giants song, & I didn't get what they meant by it.

what is this damn web of lies

southerners invented rhyming slang and any northerner who comes out with any probably just got confused after doing too much heroin. although noone really uses it any more unless you want to describe something unsavoury in a comical and toothless way e.g. 'I stuck it right up her gary' or 'show us your mark fowler'.

Exactly. The fing is I didn't know I had lis speech impediment until I moved outside of the UK. Everyone I encountered for the first 20 years of my life must have either understood from contextualization or been secretly confused by everyfing I said, which didn't seem to happen.

I like how they're always saying "Berk" (short for Berkshire Hunt) on, like, Blue Peter. Cockneys must fucking piss themselves every time they hear that.

Also someone recently exposed me to "I'd love to smash her pasty". I know what is means but what the hell could that possibly rhyme with?
