One of my favorite movies. I need to get it on DVD, found it for $5 on VHS. I think I've watched the first 10 mins of Ninja III at least 20 times. I put it in the youtube thread a while back. I love how he just up and wrecks the golf course

Have you seen Ninja II ? It still has fitty yen(Sho Kasugi) in it.

I need to watch Ninja Assassin which is technically Ninja IV

How IS that? I've been wanting to get that and Blacula for a while now. Worth buying?

I also have the Blacula movies as well. Blackenstein is worth buying (5 bucks) for the laughs. It's absolutely terrible and the fight scenes are great. For what it's worth I was high.

They had some sale on the Blackenstein and Blacula movies at Best Buy but I got Phantom of the Opera instead. :( I'm going to go back sometime and try to pick them up.

Departed is awesome.

I tried looking up to see if they ever made a movie like "Phantom of the Apollo" and I got one search result for Apollo Phantom Steel Shaft. I thought "Wow, someone totally beat me to that awesome idea for a movie and they threw in Shaft and Steel references too."

Then I opened the link: http://blog.hirekogolf.com/2009/11/0...m-steel-shaft/

We need to make this movie now though.

Yep. I actually thought Ninja III was going to be a direct sequel. Wow, was I wrong. :)
It's definitely my favorite of the series though. And I want to play that Bouncer arcade machine.

Have you seen Blind Fury? That's my favorite Sho Kasugi movie.

10,000 Volt Ghost Feb 19th, 2010 01:57 AM

I haven't seen Blind Fury but I will def check it out when I get a chance.

I just saw The Road. It was... so bleak. So, so grim. I felt like committing suicide ten minutes into it.

It was a small theater, and I could see people barely keeping the cries of agony, one guy who was annoyingly jocular as we were going in was destroyed by this movie (well, I bet he was) enough that he had to get up and leave never to return.

I don't recommend this movie to anyone unless they are on a happy high and need to be depressed. I'm going to read the book now and I bet it will be worse.

kahljorn Feb 19th, 2010 04:04 PM

the new chuck pahlanuik :(

:lol just kidding but i still don't understand why people keep making movies out of his books ;/

10,000 Volt Ghost Feb 19th, 2010 04:39 PM

weird Invisible monsters was always my least favorite of his novels. I enjoyed survivor.

Just finished Cameron's Closet. Scientist dad abuses kid's psychic powers and unleashes a demon.
Nice 80s special effects. I quite liked it.

Ant10708 Feb 21st, 2010 02:45 PM

The Hurt Locker. I really enjoyed it. The camera shakiness wasn't nearly as bad as people on this board made it out to be. Definitely one of the better war movies out there.

Is it a French film?

Ant10708 Feb 21st, 2010 02:55 PM

No I am fairly certain that it is an American made movie.

Here is a link to its imdb page: http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0887912/

Oh maybe your asking because I added an 'e' at the end of hurt. No idea why, for some reason I thought thats how they spelt it in the movie title.

Babs Feb 22nd, 2010 12:57 AM

The Devil and Daniel Johnston. I love how during the middle of the documentary when they're interviewing the lead singer of the butthole surfers while he's in the midst of getting what seems to be a root canal.

10,000 Volt Ghost Feb 22nd, 2010 11:04 AM

Henry Rollins?
