Hey, so, I'm going to go run down the beach and sleep on the first flat surface I find, probably a rock.

I'll talk to you guys tomorrow, ok?

executioneer Sep 27th, 2009 07:08 AM

kahljorn Sep 27th, 2009 07:16 AM

OH GOING TO TAKE A NAP ON YOUR ROCK BED?

DONT FORGET TO BRING YOUR ROCK SHEETS IT MIGHT BE CHILLY AGAASHAHA
:(

HOPEFULLY YOU DONT GET A STIFF NECK OR ANYTHING

executioneer Sep 27th, 2009 07:20 AM

gw are you doing anything tomorrow, can you testdrive a car for me and report back on how it is i'll give you $30 (ps this is contingent on the dude not being a scammer)(it'd help if you could drive a manual, too)

Guitar Woman Sep 27th, 2009 11:05 PM

Should probably warn you that the hoods of cars I drive become magnetized to whatever I-Beams happen to be in the area

executioneer Sep 28th, 2009 12:27 AM

you won't get the $30 if you do that!

captain516 Sep 28th, 2009 01:05 AM

Hey Willie, I signed up for your website. It makes me feel nostalgic for the early 90's, back when everyone had their own domain.

executioneer Sep 28th, 2009 03:35 AM

im gonna rework it at some point and make it more web 1.8 complaint

Transmetropolitan was a great book. Have you read it GW?

Guitar Woman Sep 29th, 2009 01:40 AM

Reading it right now, it's pretty sweet.

I like it better than Preacher.

Which I liked.

Kitsa Sep 29th, 2009 09:19 AM

I really tried to start today off on a good foot but I keep getting irritated by stupid shit and it's ruining my day :(

Aaarg Sep 29th, 2009 09:24 AM

That's no good. Hopefully things will brighten up.

I like that we brought the dog inside and he shares my bed with me because now I can't sleep past 8am and waking up later than 8 makes me feel bad over time.

Kitsa Sep 29th, 2009 10:04 AM

On Sunday I watched a documentary about the Golden Dragon Massacre and my first thought was, "Chinese food sounds good."

Then I thought, "Wow, I'm a horrible person."

Fathom Zero Sep 29th, 2009 10:51 AM

I accidentally accepted a student loan on a web form and can't cancel. I'm not going to fill out anything else they give me and go see wtf is going on with this. If nothing else, it is interest-free.

Esuohlim Sep 29th, 2009 12:11 PM

So I'm now duel majoring in engineering and astrophysics :( (aka being a nerd >:)

Esuohlim Sep 29th, 2009 12:11 PM

I can't wait until I graduate and get a sweet Home Depot job :(

executioneer Sep 29th, 2009 12:36 PM

Fathom Zero Sep 29th, 2009 12:58 PM

I'm amazed at the amount of $200,000 education individuals are considering being crossing guards.

It's weird, because all I like to do is manual labor.

10,000 Volt Ghost Sep 29th, 2009 08:14 PM

Hmm, check the carfacts on it. You might be able to get a loan for a brand new car for a little more though. I got a brand new(bought it in '06) 2007 Focus hatchback manual for maybe $15,000 but I got a 5 year warranty with it. My monthly payment is $236.

craigslist can do you good with cars. I got a 2000 pontiac with only 4,000 miles for $5,500. Still runs amazing.

I agree with 10k as well. Check them carfacts. Or even better, do that trade in where you can get a guranteed $4,500 and use it as a down payment.

Tadao Sep 29th, 2009 09:18 PM

If you eat one of Kitsa's bentos, do you poop scenery?

Yes.

Wilir. I trust your judgement. I'm mobile right noe. Drunk at a bar and the walk is an hour so I'm going to post in the ask willie thread whether I should let me ex come over tonight. I've been talking to this new girl who is 26 instead of being 21. Likes reel big fish/less than jake and is new town. New girl is a huuuuuuuge plus in my book and also attractive. Since its already here.....what should I do?

executioneer Sep 30th, 2009 01:09 AM

new girl i guess

not have v. good judgement atm

Fathom Zero Sep 30th, 2009 01:48 AM

After hours of studying (something I've done maybe twice before) I've learned a thing or two about chemistry, no thanks to the instructor or my TA or the tutors. I'm determined to pass, despite everyone's best efforts. Then I'm ditching this science field.

10,000 Volt Ghost Sep 30th, 2009 01:49 AM

Fathom Zero Sep 30th, 2009 01:51 AM

You can always join a scandinavian death metal band

Tadao Sep 30th, 2009 02:20 AM

Do construction work. Electricians make fat cash.

Fathom Zero Sep 30th, 2009 02:31 AM

I actually have a friend that does that at the moment while he's still in school. He makes several thousand dollars.

The thing that nobody gets with me is that I like manual labor that's boring and just awful. I don't want a job fours year from now because I'm smart or have a degree. That's if I'm able to get a job at all with that shitty piece of paper.

I feel like I'm going to school for fun. I pretty much can consider it that, get a job at a Waffle House and a shitty apartment, while giving my parents the finger and not looking back. I'm not worried about being able to survive. And I've got my bike, so I don't need a car. If I need to go out of town, there's a bus heading out everywhere.

The only thing I should be petrified about is still not knowing what to do. But I'm here for now, so I'm working my ass off for the rest of the year.

Wiffles Sep 30th, 2009 03:03 AM

If you ever get a job and want manual labor, dont get one that you have to work at a restaurant or factory. Imagine you spend your entire day in such a place for years on end. Get one that has a certain degree of freedom. Like Trucker, Road marker, Construction guy etc :)

Fathom Zero Sep 30th, 2009 04:50 AM

I work at a golf course at the moment and I enjoy that.

I can take pretty much anything. I'd even mow lawns, if I had to.

Fathom Zero Sep 30th, 2009 07:40 AM

I saw a dude give a chick the goon hand yesterday and the look of utter fury on her face was priceless.

Kitsa Sep 30th, 2009 09:01 AM

A couple of weeks ago, I was waiting for my mom in her car in a dodgy area of town. I watched a homeless woman squat at a bus stop and give the finger to every bus that passed.

It's the only thing I'm not doing so hot in that I'm really mad about, because I'm passionate about film and film theory. It pisses me off.

Kitsa Sep 30th, 2009 10:45 AM

is the teacher an asshole? Sometimes that's why. I got a C in medical anthropology once and I was like what the fuck. The bizarre thing about that was that there were no papers or tests, all the classes (this was MED SCHOOL, btw) consisted of watching a tape of whatever medical special was on TV the previous night. And I showed up for every class and paid attention, so I don't know how the hell that worked out to a C. Fortunately I wasn't enrolled in the med school permanently yet and my undergrad advisor was letting me take it as a science elective.

Still, the bastard.

RaNkeri Sep 30th, 2009 10:57 AM

How the hell does spider-man climb walls while he's wearing his costume?
I mean, if you made a real spider wear tiny socks/gloves on it's feet it wouldn't be able to climb jack shit

No, I've got no reason to claim that the teachers are anything but completely fair. Besides, these are based on the scores from online quizzes, which are graded instantly.
