Guiness and Killians off the top of my head, but Killian's only originated in Ireland but is now made and marketed by Coors...

For the aussies, Foster's is widely available. I'm sure someone can come up with more Euro beers but I can't think of any others right now.

BTW, Isn't Bud Light the most popular beer in the world?

WhiteRat Aug 16th, 2008 09:15 PM

Damn, completely fucking forgot about Heineken. That shit is available anywhere. Also Beck's and St. Pauli are fairly popular.

Budweiser is pretty popular - no idea why though, it's horrible stuff. They started serving it from pumps a few years ago which helped as people rarely drink beer from bottles in pubs.

WhiteRat Aug 16th, 2008 09:21 PM

When I was in Japan, aside from the Asian beers, Budweiser, Bud Light, and Heineken were the most popular foreign brews.

MetalMilitia Aug 16th, 2008 09:26 PM

Heineken is good stuff. As far as Dutch beers go I actually prefer Amstel but it's not anywhere near as widely available.

WhiteRat Aug 16th, 2008 09:27 PM

Yeah, I really like Heineken but unfortunately where I live a twelve pack is like $14.

MattJack Aug 16th, 2008 09:30 PM

I think Heineken tastes like skunk, but my brother swears by it. Then again, I like The Kang (bud), so who am I to judge?

Killians is good. I think Becks isn't bad either.

Fav: Rolling Rock

Fav cheap: Bud

Worst beer: Miller Dyke. I mean, Miller Lite. I'd rather stay sober than drink that mess.

MattJack Aug 16th, 2008 09:32 PM

Actually, I like Olde English as my fav cheap beer, but that's malt liquor so I guess it doesn't count ;_;

WhiteRat Aug 16th, 2008 09:34 PM

Agree on Miller Lite. That shit is so watered down I just can't understand why people would drink that crap. It's terrible.

Pub Lover Aug 16th, 2008 09:36 PM

I like Budweiser Budva, but I'm told it tastes just like Budweiser (which I hate), so maybe I'm an anti-American trendwhore.

MattJack Aug 16th, 2008 09:37 PM

Hey man, this is off topic an' all, buuuuuuutttttttt

Have you been catching Hard Knocks: Dallas Cowboys on HBO? I think the series kind of over hypes them a bit :\

WhiteRat Aug 16th, 2008 09:39 PM

They're the Cowboys, aren't they always overhyped?

MattJack Aug 16th, 2008 09:46 PM

:lol

good point

WhiteRat Aug 16th, 2008 09:48 PM

Everyone in Dallas is over hyped except Marion Barber III.

10,000 Volt Ghost Aug 16th, 2008 10:35 PM

I think I missed the beverage conversation but the best cheap beer is Pabst Blue Ribbon.

Favorite is either Yuengling or Saranac Black and Tan.

Fathom Zero Aug 16th, 2008 10:39 PM

I can't drink. Still.

:(

Kitsa Aug 16th, 2008 10:54 PM

Scotch is my favorite, but if I only have access to beer I'll do Sam Adams Light. There's a really good beer we get when we go to Wisconsin...Spotted Cow. I really like that stuff.

Neen Aug 17th, 2008 12:42 AM

I'm bored. Is this place for free entertainment, yeah? Belly dancers. Maybe small pets jumping through flaming hoops, no?

To town! We paint town... with cheap soviet paint.

Red of course.

Kitsa Aug 17th, 2008 12:46 AM

I've got a video of synchronized dog walking I took today. But it's not entertaining, just really lame.

Is that can't or won't? I drank at your age. You're older than 14, right?

Neen Aug 17th, 2008 12:48 AM

I wrestle large hairy animal... How you say... Gay man.

Kitsa Aug 17th, 2008 12:52 AM

I think he's talking to you, Pub :(

Neen Aug 17th, 2008 12:54 AM

I talk to whoever listens, comrade.

Hey you, listen.

Pub Lover Aug 17th, 2008 12:55 AM

I'm not large and only hairy in a couple of testosterone depleted places.
