You know what, you try to render a 70s cartoon villain in chocolate and then get back to me, ok?

Pub Lover Feb 17th, 2011 10:59 AM

Touchy much? :eek

Pub Lover Feb 17th, 2011 11:00 AM

I didn't even know it was by you. :eek

Pub Lover Feb 17th, 2011 11:01 AM

And anyway, I would more likely skip right to drawing labia on cakes. :eek

Pub Lover Feb 17th, 2011 11:01 AM

I'm kidding. :eek

Pub Lover Feb 17th, 2011 11:02 AM

I'd draw dicks. :eek

Pub Lover Feb 17th, 2011 11:02 AM

Then lick them. :eek

Pub Lover Feb 17th, 2011 11:03 AM

Hard. :yum

Kitsa Feb 17th, 2011 11:08 AM

I've already done a dick cake, you're not getting another one.

In fact, more than half the people I know are heavy smokers, so they're probably going to be bothering me to start again.

I went to the dermatologist and got surprise biopsy surgery. It felt like a punch biopsy. Google it sometime, it hurt like all hell.

Red Dwarf by Grant Naylor. Yes this novel inspired the series, and yes, there are differences. The novel has a considerably darker tone. I mean really, really much grimmer. The characters are identical in their portrayal however, so that was good to see. I hate it when characters get changed in the transition, but Naylor wrote the television script too, so we saw none of that. Much of the book is in the series, but it goes more into Lister's backstory and also there is quite a bit that didn't make it into the series, such as the evolution of the cats and what their holy war was about (not the color of the hats at the hotdog stand, but rather the name of Holy Mother Frankenstein's protector and their savior. Cloister or Clister.) It was an entertaining read, but I was depressed at the end. It's very well written too. So I give it four out of five.

No! The novel did not inspire the series. Are you retarded? The television programme was based on the radio show and then the book was a reworking of the the telly scripts. What book are you even fucking reading? Are you German? Even then the book would be called Roter Zwerg. If you are reading it in English and if you're in this reality then you're probably pressing your callused Braille finger against Infinity Welcomes Careful Drivers. Grant Naylor are two people. Rob Grant and Doug Naylor. It says that on every goddamn copy of the book unless you pull the pages out at random to wipe your drooling gob without first reading them. You have really pissed off the the ten year old deep inside me that had that as his favourite book. So take that, Person That Doesn't Post Here Any More And Has a Post from November That I Am Replying To. >:

Deep inside a ten year old, eh? :liquidstatik

I like the feeling I get when I know I could help somebody I dislike, but decide not to. Is this one of marks of serial killerism?

Pub Lover Feb 17th, 2011 01:26 PM

Dammit, I spot a grammatical error instantly. Why couldn't I see that at the time? :eek

Pub Lover Feb 17th, 2011 01:27 PM

I would edit that so heavily if submitting it to you today, Esuohlim. :eek

Pub Lover Feb 17th, 2011 01:28 PM

I think it is still funny though. :(
