That's like the worst way to kill yourself. And the nastiest.

Tadao Mar 27th, 2009 05:00 PM

I could have sworn I typed "Hahahahahahaha" in here :(

Anyways, is it a painful death?

kahljorn Mar 27th, 2009 05:01 PM

yea that sucks youd think theyd have some other method that doesn't involve injecting tiny things with tiny things :(

Fathom Zero Mar 27th, 2009 05:04 PM

Ebola practically turns you into a bag of fluids. Organ failure, crashing and bleeding out, all that good shit.

It is the only thing in the world that scares the shit out of me more than Jake Busey.

Kitsa Mar 27th, 2009 05:23 PM

Yeah, it might as well be paint thinner for your internal organs. Just liquefies you, from the inside, in a very short amount of time.

Tadao Mar 27th, 2009 05:25 PM

Oh, so dieing from a rattlesnake bite is more painful then.

Kitsa Mar 27th, 2009 05:36 PM

A rattlesnake bite is localized burning, hideous swelling, painful heart rate changes.

Ebola is a catastrophic headache, malaria-like onset (high fever, chills), and about a week of misery before your guts flow in a torrent of blood out your ass.

I dunno, you choose.

Colonel Flagg Mar 28th, 2009 08:43 PM

I think ..... I choose ..... both!

Dimnos Mar 30th, 2009 02:05 PM

Personally I would rather die from the snake. If Natural Borne Killers is to believed, you go on an indian spirit journey before you die. :x

The vaccine hasn't really been tested on humans, so they had to have the Health Minister sign off on it within an hour of finding out about it.

Dimnos Apr 2nd, 2009 10:42 AM

So has she made it to today?

Kybo Ren Apr 2nd, 2009 10:45 AM

if you had ebola would the rattlesnake even bite you?

AChimp Apr 2nd, 2009 11:49 AM

The scientist is still OK! :O

Fathom Zero Apr 2nd, 2009 01:45 PM

I hope she does alright. I hope that she didn't get it.

Dimnos Apr 2nd, 2009 02:10 PM

I cant wait to hear if she was actually infected and the vaccine worked or if she got incredibly lucky and was never infected.

Kitsa Apr 2nd, 2009 02:22 PM

Wouldn't it be a bitch if she wasn't infected in the first place and some fluke of the vaccine's properties gave it to her?

Big time! :\

I think the skin on your tongue starts to slough off, as well. It's basically one big clusterfuck in viral form.
Also, if anyone wants to learn more about Ebola, pick up The Hot Zone by Richard Preston. Great book.

Fathom Zero Apr 8th, 2009 08:11 PM

Haha, that's exactly the book that scared the shit out me when I was a kid.

Kitsa Apr 9th, 2009 01:11 AM

I recommend Ebola by William Close, mainly because it's nonfiction and still scary as all hell.

Fathom Zero Apr 9th, 2009 10:13 AM

The Hot Zone is non-fiction as well.

Kitsa Apr 10th, 2009 08:38 AM

eeeeehhhhhhhhhhhhhhh.
