I'd have you as my avatar, Adam. But you gotta pull a frowny face. ;)

Pub Lover Aug 16th, 2008 12:39 AM

Danny & Freddy swapping faces made me have to pause in thinking who is saying what, but Tadao with Tom's face is fucking me over everytime.

"WHY IS MILHOUSE-BACKWARDS BEING SO SLEAZY TONIGHT? OH SHIT IT'S TADAO, NEVERMIND"

Tadao Aug 16th, 2008 12:52 AM

I know, it's messing with me too.

WhiteRat Aug 16th, 2008 03:28 AM

So I decide to take a short nap at 6:30 earlier tonight only to wake up at 2:30am! I completely wasted my friday night and now I can't go back to sleep.

I had my first day back from summer at school yesterday and I decided who I'm to kill by third hour.

10,000 Volt Ghost Aug 16th, 2008 02:05 PM

I'm a five year vet of the summer school program. I'd rally try really hard for two months than for a whole school year.

Two photos I took at the fair today:

Everyone in America is fat! :eek

Or was that a fair for fat Americans, and I'm drawing unfair conclusions?

Many of the Americans you see at fairs are fat. This may or may not be related to the fact that deep-fried Twinkies and Snickers Bars can be had there. I wanted to take a photo of one truly remarkable specimen whose ass extended a full foot and a half or so beyond the small of her back, but I chickened out.

And as for the rest of it, if I don't make sense that's better fodder for you, isn't it? Thank me later.

Dunno, I'd already seen so many strange things for free by that point that I wasn't interested in giving them my dollar.

I can speculate. It's probably something stupid like a mirror.

They have a website: http://www.thestrangething.net/

Like White Rat just did in Sports. :lol

Deanna Favre would be hot with a dick. :yum

Oh and also I tried this stuff because it looked all badass but it was pretty unremarkable, which is generally The Lesson of the Fair.

You're like my mom. Eew.

It's not surprising. She is ten years older than you, just like your mom.

Of course, Miss M. has yet to give herself over to the lust of Jake Busey.

I have a whole other fridge for alcohol, and yes, it is usually better stocked than the one for food. :(

MetalMilitia Aug 16th, 2008 06:50 PM

What's your favourite drink, Pub Lover? Australians (and by association New Zealanders) drink beer I think.

Pub Lover Aug 16th, 2008 06:55 PM

I'm currently drinking a lot of Indian Pale Ales, when I have the time to enjoy it I like a dark or a bitter. I have never drunk a good Australian beer. Last year I was in the UK a lot, and I got really into Whisky, but I'll drink drain cleaner. That is what WKD is right?

What the hell? James Marsters is frikking 50! :fanboyrage

Chojin Aug 16th, 2008 08:15 PM

I had a dream last night that I drank a Sam Adams and it was DELICIOUS and one can DESTROYED me.

I've never had a Sam Adams, but when I drink beer I generally drink Coors Light or draft Red Hook.

MetalMilitia Aug 16th, 2008 08:16 PM

Coors Light? Don't forget to pick up some tampons for your vagina while you're at the store Chojin.

MetalMilitia Aug 16th, 2008 08:19 PM

I shouldn't criticize though. I haven't drunken any ale in weeks. These days I often end up with Fosters (the type with the widget to make the bubbles smaller) or Corona. :(

Tadao Aug 16th, 2008 08:23 PM

I'm all for dropping some pounds myself, but I wouldn't punish myself for being tubby by drinking Coors Light.

MattJack Aug 16th, 2008 08:37 PM

I like Blue Moon, Rolling Rock, and Shiner.

I use to drink tha Kang (RIP ;_; )when it came to cheap beer, but they got bought out by them damn euros. So being the red blooded 'merican I am, I won't drink it anymore

PS. I have been reading the mock wars (2005 & 2007) all evening and boy it brought me some laughs

Guitar Woman Aug 16th, 2008 08:49 PM

My dad drinks Labatt Blue and it's pretty good as far as beer goes!

WhiteRat Aug 16th, 2008 08:51 PM

I don't understand what the big deal is about Blue Moon. Everyone I know here always drinks that shit. I just can't handle more than 1 or 2 glasses before I want to dump the pitcher over someone's head.

WhiteRat Aug 16th, 2008 08:52 PM

Did he let you have a big boy sip?

MattJack Aug 16th, 2008 08:53 PM

Idk, i just like it. I like rolling rock over it. Blue Moon does seems trendy tho :\

I don't like lager, cause imma fruit

WhiteRat Aug 16th, 2008 08:55 PM

Lately I've been drinking a lot of Sam Adams Boston Lager as well as Rolling Rock, which is odd because I don't think i've ever bought Rolling Rock before last month.

MattJack Aug 16th, 2008 08:59 PM

my best friend's older sister turned me on to Rolling Rock when I was 18 :x

There are like 345 kinds of Sam Adams, and I've only had the 'original.' I didn't care much for it, but I needa try some of there other stuff

Guiness and Killians off the top of my head, but Killian's only originated in Ireland but is now made and marketed by Coors...

For the aussies, Foster's is widely available. I'm sure someone can come up with more Euro beers but I can't think of any others right now.

BTW, Isn't Bud Light the most popular beer in the world?

WhiteRat Aug 16th, 2008 09:15 PM

Damn, completely fucking forgot about Heineken. That shit is available anywhere. Also Beck's and St. Pauli are fairly popular.

Budweiser is pretty popular - no idea why though, it's horrible stuff. They started serving it from pumps a few years ago which helped as people rarely drink beer from bottles in pubs.

WhiteRat Aug 16th, 2008 09:21 PM

When I was in Japan, aside from the Asian beers, Budweiser, Bud Light, and Heineken were the most popular foreign brews.

MetalMilitia Aug 16th, 2008 09:26 PM

Heineken is good stuff. As far as Dutch beers go I actually prefer Amstel but it's not anywhere near as widely available.

WhiteRat Aug 16th, 2008 09:27 PM

Yeah, I really like Heineken but unfortunately where I live a twelve pack is like $14.

MattJack Aug 16th, 2008 09:30 PM

I think Heineken tastes like skunk, but my brother swears by it. Then again, I like The Kang (bud), so who am I to judge?

Killians is good. I think Becks isn't bad either.

Fav: Rolling Rock

Fav cheap: Bud

Worst beer: Miller Dyke. I mean, Miller Lite. I'd rather stay sober than drink that mess.

MattJack Aug 16th, 2008 09:32 PM

Actually, I like Olde English as my fav cheap beer, but that's malt liquor so I guess it doesn't count ;_;

WhiteRat Aug 16th, 2008 09:34 PM

Agree on Miller Lite. That shit is so watered down I just can't understand why people would drink that crap. It's terrible.

Pub Lover Aug 16th, 2008 09:36 PM

I like Budweiser Budva, but I'm told it tastes just like Budweiser (which I hate), so maybe I'm an anti-American trendwhore.

MattJack Aug 16th, 2008 09:37 PM

Hey man, this is off topic an' all, buuuuuuutttttttt

Have you been catching Hard Knocks: Dallas Cowboys on HBO? I think the series kind of over hypes them a bit :\

WhiteRat Aug 16th, 2008 09:39 PM

They're the Cowboys, aren't they always overhyped?

MattJack Aug 16th, 2008 09:46 PM

:lol

good point

WhiteRat Aug 16th, 2008 09:48 PM

Everyone in Dallas is over hyped except Marion Barber III.

10,000 Volt Ghost Aug 16th, 2008 10:35 PM

I think I missed the beverage conversation but the best cheap beer is Pabst Blue Ribbon.

Favorite is either Yuengling or Saranac Black and Tan.

Fathom Zero Aug 16th, 2008 10:39 PM

I can't drink. Still.

:(

Kitsa Aug 16th, 2008 10:54 PM

Scotch is my favorite, but if I only have access to beer I'll do Sam Adams Light. There's a really good beer we get when we go to Wisconsin...Spotted Cow. I really like that stuff.

Neen Aug 17th, 2008 12:42 AM

I'm bored. Is this place for free entertainment, yeah? Belly dancers. Maybe small pets jumping through flaming hoops, no?

To town! We paint town... with cheap soviet paint.

Red of course.

Kitsa Aug 17th, 2008 12:46 AM

I've got a video of synchronized dog walking I took today. But it's not entertaining, just really lame.

Neen Aug 17th, 2008 12:54 AM

Hey you, listen.

Pub Lover Aug 17th, 2008 12:55 AM

I'm not large and only hairy in a couple of testosterone depleted places.

Pub Lover Aug 17th, 2008 12:56 AM

Sethomas Aug 17th, 2008 01:11 AM

Beer. Ha.

I just now spent $24 on just enough beer to get me intoxicated on a typical night. Since it's to be shared as a cultural experience with a lovely lady, it won't get me drunk but I am rather okay with that. Two different styles of authentic Trappist Ale.

Pub Lover Aug 17th, 2008 01:14 AM

Stop chatting on the internet and go puke up on her already, Mister P.

WhiteRat Aug 17th, 2008 01:14 AM

Hey big spender, don't spill any on that bearskin rug!

Sethomas Aug 17th, 2008 01:25 AM

I can replace the bearskin rug easily, I'm more worried about the carpet I have which is made from the down hides of infant penguins.

Dixie Aug 17th, 2008 05:15 AM

When I wake up you MUST tell me how the evening went my dear!!!

As the Ol' Speckled Hen would say, "Tell me a shtory!"

executioneer Aug 17th, 2008 05:26 AM

man i missed the beer discussion :x

i hate the way beer tastes and all of its other effects save inebriation, give me brown liquor any day

although due to HERITAGE i suppose i'm more likely to get a guinness than any of that other whiz-water

Chojin Aug 17th, 2008 05:47 AM

i don't drink coors light because it's a light beer, i like the flavor ;<

also, i like coronas with lime and killian's.

Kitsa Aug 17th, 2008 10:17 AM

Fathom Zero Aug 17th, 2008 05:44 PM

bigtimecow Aug 17th, 2008 07:14 PM

HEY PUB LOVER WHAT THE FUCK >: >: >: >: >:

Pub Lover Aug 17th, 2008 08:15 PM

WUT?

Pub Lover Aug 17th, 2008 08:41 PM

I'm pretty sure you asked me to do this. ;(

Anyway, I just got given some crazy asian soya jerky and while it was ok, it's ruined the beer I was drinking. And that made me a lil' shouty at a person I really didn't want to be shouty at, and now I'm hiding because I'm terrible at fixing my mistakes. You jerks.

Shyandquietguy Aug 17th, 2008 08:56 PM

Heya folks, am I assumin' wine is a good beginner trial, or is there a beer that's a good intro. As you can tell my best thought right now from knowledge is the less alchohol the easier the transition.

I was gonna say fruittier, but that sounds too typical, and I'm also enterin' a blue collar job field! I'M A MECHAAAAAAAAAAANIIIIIIIIIIIIIIC!!!

But no, this is a serious post, I'm wanting to try new things.

Pub Lover Aug 17th, 2008 09:17 PM

Don't do it! It's a waste of money & it has the potential to destroy your future.

bigtimecow Aug 17th, 2008 09:26 PM

beer tastes great though :)

HickMan Aug 17th, 2008 09:30 PM

I <3 it

bigtimecow Aug 17th, 2008 09:37 PM

particularly sam adams light mmmmmmmmmmmmmm :yum

Shyandquietguy Aug 17th, 2008 09:37 PM

Not to worry, I've been doing a lot of soul searchin' (and I mean alot!) so I'll have no problem with a bit of alchohol.

bigtimecow Aug 17th, 2008 09:43 PM

who didja find?

Tadao Aug 17th, 2008 10:01 PM
