I felt that way when Mitch Hedberg died. I feel the same now. He brought a lot of laughs to a lot of people.

First Rodney, now George. My favorite comedians are dropping out of the race.

I saw one of his shows on HBO. Great comedian. I'm going to read his books.

This has been like the 20th for me. So yeah, Carlin. And Dangerfield. And Rod Roddy. And Mister Rogers. And John Ritter. And nearly every wrestler who has died in the past 5 years.

But that's what ya get for caring about rich fucks, eh!? :x

liquidstatik Jun 23rd, 2008 02:15 PM

why would you care about wrestlers dying? :x

Tadao Jun 23rd, 2008 02:26 PM

John Candy :(

Asila Jun 23rd, 2008 03:42 PM

I watched his last HBO standup not long ago and remember thinking how weird it was that he looked so old.

:(

Kybo Ren Jun 23rd, 2008 03:54 PM

Somehow, he was still better than the real men in cloth

Thanks for the laughs

I heard about this leaving the Post Office on NPR. My first reaction was "NOOOOOOOO!!!!!! This can't be!!!" "Fresh Air" then ran an interview he did with Terry Gross a few years ago.

I can't help but think that his death is meant to be some sort of significant marker. An era is truly over now.
