cleaning up black and white

Is there anyway to make the jack in the box pure black and white? I don't have a scanner. I do have photoshop and indesign.

I don't know, the levels function in photoshop (CTRL+L) might not be powerful enough to save that bad boy. You might want to consult a professional, or just bury it in the backyard and move on.

or, you know, replace color in photoshop, where white replaces blue.

hmm... for me, i have to change the color mode to grayscale-- to bitmap with 50% threshold if it's hi-res.

otherwise, i'll just stick to the grayscale-- adjustment-- level. (don't use auto level. it sucks.)

hope it helps.

but sometimes you have to re-size the image a lil' bit, though.

I'm going to try your suggestions today. Has anyone tried doing clear sticker or Decals? I bought some that say I need an Ink Jet printer but I only have a laser. Why the hell would people still have Ink Jet?

Magreaux Aug 25th, 2007 12:13 PM

Those desktop printer decals are alright but the thing is that no matter what the package may say, they are not very waterproof at all and are best kept indoors. If you're planning to print out a few of those and put them on your car, they'll start fading REAL QUICK or the ink will run off in the rain after a few months, unlike a nice screen-printed vinyl sticker which might very well last forever. Although you could try to coat them with an archival waterproofing spray when they're done.

Don't hold me to this but I think the difference between laser & inkjet ( other than price >: ) is how the ink saturates the paper. You still might be able to print on those inkjet labels with a laser printer, but it'll probably take a long time to dry so leave them alone for an hour or two when they're done. That's been my experience but i'm no expert. Where's MLE? Zako? Why do I bother?

I appreciate the comments Magreaux:) They are for my Bass guitar, so they will be in side most of the time. The jack in the box is an old drawing I did years back and a friend requested it when he saw the large version I have

that looks pretty awesome

actually that does look pretty cool, not to encourage you or anything.
