I started watching the Sopranos finally! About seven episodes in. I hope it gets better, right now most of the characters kind of bug me in some way. Except Anthony Jr., that kid is the shit.

Keep at it. And you are not supposed to like the characters. They are pretty much assholes the whole lot of them, but you still learn to care about what happens to them. It's the best TV-series i've seen.

Melvin's right about both Boardwalk Empire and the Sopranos. Stick with The Sopranos and you'll be happy that you did.

I really liked the first two seasons of Justified, as well. And I HATED Timothy Olyphant before I watched Deadwood (which is easily one of my favorite shows now).

But yeah, the show was supposed to run for a couple of seasons more, so it ended quite abruptly. The same thing happened with Carnivale, which also pissed me off. Great show.

I liked Carnivale but read something about it having like a six season arc. I mean, I'm all for forward planning... It just pisses me off that it wasn't able to be more self-contained or resolved a different way.

The producers of the show decided to drop it and pursue some now-defunct surfing series somewhere. That's why it went only three seasons. It was inspired television. Hard to follow at first but addictive.

Just watched the first season of Game Of Thrones. Kinda hard to get into, since I haven't read the books and knew nothing about it beforehand, but good god was it awesome. If I had to summarize the season in one word, it would be "epic". Can't wait to see the second season. Maybe i'll buy the books as well.

A friend who had read the books said it followed rather well. I love how they are ready to kill just about anyone off at any time.

I read the first two books, and yes they are amazing. I can't recommend the series enough. The guy who is writing it is obese and diabetic and getting up there in years, and since he's terrible with deadlines there's no way the series is going to get finished before he dies.

I'm reading game of thrones right now.

The books are great, too bad like Milhouse said they probably wont be finished.

I didn't really like the TV adaption. A lot of things just didn't fit what was in my head. In the book Tyrion isn't just a dwarf, he's an incredible ugly dwarf. It's an important aspect of his character, and yet here they have the handsomest dwarf that ever lived and breathed playing his role.

That, and Arya Stark is supposed to indistinguishable from a boy

Well, they at least tried in this case. Some characters call her a boy by mistake etc. and she wears boy-ish clothes.

She's easily the best character. Goddamn, I don't know why I haven't watched the show or read the third one yet :(

I watched seasons 1-5 of 3rd Rock from the Sun on Netflix. I was originally gonna use this show as something to fall asleep to but it was a lot funnier than I remembered it. And it's amazing how often Khristen Johnson goes without a bra. I don't understand why I didn't notice this when I was younger and desperate for things to whack off to.
