I will always miss you Joey Ramone. :(

k0k0 Nov 7th, 2011 06:50 PM

There is a music section, butt nugget. And this thread is in it.

Aaarg Nov 7th, 2011 06:53 PM

i don't know of any musicians that died while they were still putting out worthwhile music. lots of dead musicians, but eh, i wouldn't expect good new material from john fahey or peter steele.

ThrashO Nov 7th, 2011 06:56 PM

Layne Staley and Cliff Burton

executioneer Nov 7th, 2011 07:02 PM

freddie mercury and frank zappa

Esuohlim Nov 7th, 2011 07:21 PM

Zappa is my answer too, but he was dead long before I had ever heard of him SO I DON'T THINK IT COUNTS? Sucks that I'll never get to see him live.

And Rod Stewart and Michael Bolton sing on and on. :tear

10,000 Volt Ghost Nov 8th, 2011 11:50 AM

Steve Ewing of the Urge. He's still alive and tours but he never comes here.

Fathom Zero Nov 8th, 2011 01:29 PM

Mark Sandman would still be making good music. Guaranteed.

Colonel Flagg Nov 9th, 2011 10:23 AM

If we all say it enough times, it will become the truth.

I also miss Dennis Brain, who no one but me on this board will probably care about. :(

Pentegarn Nov 9th, 2011 07:11 PM

Obligatory 'I miss Dio' post.

replicant Nov 10th, 2011 01:38 AM

I miss Nujabes, Nina Simone, Johnny Cash, Alex Chilton, Ian Curtis, Poly Styrene... and Isshi - the lead singer of Japanese Rock Band Kagrra,. These are a few that I miss beside people that others have listed.

Sam Nov 10th, 2011 03:13 AM

Kurt Cobain, Warren Zevon and Petri Walli (Kingston Wall).

Pentegarn Nov 10th, 2011 05:14 PM

John Lennon
Jim Croce
Randy Rhoads
Keith Moon

Lone Wanderer Nov 10th, 2011 05:27 PM

^Respect. ;)

John Lennon, Randy Rhoads and Johnny Cash. The only deceased musicians I have any personal preference in.

A fictional musician I miss is Chris Gaines. Fuck the haters, those songs were actually good and better than Garth Brooks standard stuff!

Brubeck Nightfly Nov 19th, 2011 12:03 AM

Nick Drake, the world hardly knew ye.

Dommin Nov 19th, 2011 06:52 PM

Peter Steele, Johnny Cash, Layne Staley.

Babs Dec 25th, 2011 02:18 AM

Lux Interior. The man was playing shows until the day he died. Johnny Rottern was (probably still is) on game shows.

These two schmucks.

The obligatory post, Lennon. If he were still alive, this world would probably be in a lot better shape.

Harry Potter is still alive bro.

Speaking of maintaining the worlds equilibrium, I'd say GG Allin.

Man fuck the guy's music but I really think he's the kind of vile scum that should be alive today to thwart all of the poppy garbage MTV diarrhea smears.

He sure thwarted all the poppy garbage that was around while he was active. GG is best left right where he is, rotting in a hole and hopefully eventually forgotten.

Esuohlim Dec 26th, 2011 09:47 PM

GG Allin was so gay. MY FAVORITE MUSICIAN RUBBED POOP ON HIMSELF. HE IS TO BE WORSHIPED.

ThrashO Dec 27th, 2011 03:53 PM

i guess you just dont like to party

Esuohlim Dec 27th, 2011 05:24 PM

Did he draw on himself with magic marker? How rebellious! :lol

Esuohlim Dec 27th, 2011 05:25 PM

Oh wait those are tattoos? :lol

Babs Dec 28th, 2011 03:30 PM

At first I thought that was Antony lavey with an extra 21st chromosome.

Kitsa Dec 30th, 2011 07:33 AM

That's pretty accurate.

Yeah, those are shitty tattoos. Mr. Kitsa has a fascination with GG Allin. We have the documentary on him and there's a broken GG Allin bobblehead around here somewhere.

Mainly the two things I took away from the documentary were the image of him shoving a banana up his butt, shitting it out and throwing it at the audience yelling "WHO'S HUNGRY?" and the omnipresence of his thimble-sized vienna sausage dick bobbling around in just about every scene.

Dimebag Darrel, Cliff Burton, Joey Ramone, Johnny /ramone, and Dee Dee Ramone. Those five guys had talent. They defined their genres and showed what music could and should be like.

Sacks May 2nd, 2012 12:47 PM

Dimebag defined his genre? Are you sure Exhorder didn't define that genre before Pantera lifted it from them?

Big McLargehuge May 5th, 2012 01:17 AM

MCA :(

Zhukov May 5th, 2012 12:55 PM

:(

Angryhydralisk Jun 9th, 2012 11:08 PM

Jimi Hendrix
Eddie Hazel
Johnny Cash
Dennis Wilson
Dio

Kilgore Cod Jul 8th, 2012 10:14 PM

Chuck Schuldiner and Dio for me. I miss Dime, if only because I never got to see Pantera live.
