My Big Fat Greek Life

Wow... crap has reached a new level.

As I write this, my family is down watching the show, being very disappointed.

First off, NO MOVIE SHOULD EVER SPAWN A SITCOM. If anything, a sitcom should turn into a movie (look at all the SNL skits that were made into movies, and they were just skits!).

From the brief 5 minutes I watched, I was amazed at the talent the writers showed at making me not laugh. The actors were crap, most humor was double-take ("turn her room into a sauna." "I could never-- you think?"), and the only message that this shitcom seemed to deliver was, "HEY WE ARE GREEK, WATCH US BE GREEK!"

Michael Constantine was a fucking brick... all he did was bash non-Greeks... that got boring after he opened his mouth.

Nia Vardalos........... no

The only part of this show that is good (not really) is the freakin brother, and even his "I'm gonna kill you" attitude gets old.

Not to mention that the actors REALLY made it look as if the show were a by-the-book, rehearsed, emotionless thing.

Overall, I'd say that this show is direct proof of societal degeneration... after all... how and WHO lets this shit get put on the airwaves.

My prediction is that the show dies after the pilot episode....

Oh, and one more thing, they have a fucking audience to "laugh" at the parts that should be funny...

What about MASH? Or hey, how about Weird Science, a series that was BETTER than the movie >:

John Corbett was good on Northern Exposure. He is a relativly cool actor and his being good on Northen Exposure was one of the only reasons I gave that movie a second glance. He is no in this show. I will not even dignify this show with the 5 minute "does this suck as hard as I thought....yep" time I gave Jackass.

I might watch his new show on FX though.

There's always an exeption, isn't there.

Dude I totally agree.......... both the movie and the show sucked ass...... it got way more credit than it should of.
