Christing Jesus

ziggytrix Apr 25th, 2005 01:49 PM

kinda neat, kinda sad.

Ninjavenom Apr 25th, 2005 03:50 PM

That's all well and good, but what happens if the house catches on fire?

MetalMilitia Apr 25th, 2005 06:24 PM

Then they will probably all melt and the guy who collected them will no doubt kill himself because his vast collection of games and consoles which he has spent years collecting has been destroyed.

Drev Apr 25th, 2005 07:52 PM

If the guy's smart, he would insure every bit of that room

That place is beautiful :tear

Guitar Woman Apr 25th, 2005 07:58 PM

good lord :(

TheBoogieman Apr 25th, 2005 08:03 PM

Wow, thats one hell of a collection, its sad

Dynamic Dustin M. Apr 25th, 2005 08:22 PM

It sad but I can't see how he would ever leave it. With me, I figure after playing video games for 40 or 50 hours in there, I might just say to hell with the outside world and stay where there's always a Continue and a Princess in the next castle. :)

Guitar Woman Apr 25th, 2005 08:25 PM

SMB didn't give you continues, wtf

Helm Apr 25th, 2005 08:34 PM

whoa. how much money do you guys think went into that room?

James Apr 25th, 2005 09:00 PM

I'd probably say everything in that room probably cost a good $50,000-$75,000. It all depends on when he got the games, as a number of them could be used or from clearance.

But at $50 a game on average, with thousands of games, it's gotta be up there, regardless of how many he got cheap.

Yes it did you jacky.

did anybody hear that there is a warp zone in SMb. THATS CRAZY

NO WAY

Guitar Woman Apr 25th, 2005 09:20 PM

Were you by chance playing SMB Deluxe, because back in the DAY there were no "Saves" or "Continues." Those are for pussies.

whoreable Apr 25th, 2005 09:46 PM

youd think after all the money spent on games he would at least buy a decent tv.

EisigerBiskuit Apr 25th, 2005 09:53 PM

I came

Ninjavenom Apr 25th, 2005 10:45 PM

i noticed the TV too. Kinda chintsy. Looks like he's been at it for a long time, too. Check out the stacks of old-school PSX game cases.

Emu Apr 25th, 2005 11:18 PM

He's got robin's egg blue copies of all the Rainbow Dreams(or whatever that company's name was called) games :( :cream

timrpgland Apr 26th, 2005 12:16 AM

Well... It seems SOMEONE takes SMB a bit personally but eh... lol. Anyways, I wasn't directly refering to SMB with that statement but more of a generalized Video-Game overview but... Yeah ok.

Dr. Boogie Apr 26th, 2005 01:09 AM

The real question is how many of those games are worth owning?

Supafly345 Apr 26th, 2005 04:33 AM

I wish I had a game-cock that big.

Color Dreams. Yeah, I totally marked when I saw those too. Most of them are terrible, but I've played them so many times and interviewed so many of the programmers that the sweet little renegades will always have a special place in my heart.

And I think James' estimate probably is in the right neighborhood. A lot of those can be bought dirt cheap, but there has to be a boatload of rares in there.

EDIT: I did a quick count, there's AT LEAST 800 NES games there. There might be some duplicates, but isn't that just about the number of games that were created for the system?

Helm Apr 26th, 2005 06:46 AM

probably a lot more. Let's see what mobygames says.

http://www.mobygames.com/browse/games/nes/list-games/

hmm, less, so I guess mobygames doesn't have EVERY NES game catalogued, so it's of no use to us.

And to what boogie said, yeah, probably very few of all of them. But if that guy has kids (UNLIKELY HAHA AM I RIGHT GUYS) then exploring that room, figuring out which games are good on your own for the first time would be awesome.

Emu Apr 26th, 2005 11:18 AM

How much you wanna bet that he's got that Hellraiser beta in there somewhere?
