Liev Schreiber, left, as Hitler's associate Ernst Hansftaengl, Robert Carlyle as Hitler, and Chris Larkin as Hermann Goering[/center:4599d6293c]
I'll be watching it, but don't expect the storyline to go too deep in Hitler's character because in reality nobody really knew him that well.

Hitler had a Scottish accent? :confused

AChimp May 16th, 2003 11:50 PM

You'd think they would have gotten someone who looked more like Hitler to play Hitler, you know?

Mockery May 17th, 2003 12:08 AM

Hitler autographed my book for me. :)

The Retro Kat May 17th, 2003 12:41 AM

The funny thing is we were just talking about the series today. Sunday we are going to go to my friends house and have swatzica flags and a hitler flags and popcorn. Itll kick some serious ass. Go fucking world war 2.

AChimp May 17th, 2003 12:50 AM

I saw a guy on the bus a few days ago that had a Hitler moustache. He also had a strange hat.

Isn't Hitler: Rise of Evil on Discovery Channel just about every other day? Or maybe that's just in Europe.

NIGhtMAre May 17th, 2003 09:54 AM

Walter: :love

Canada is just crawling with Nazis in subways. And in Subways, too; those fuckers have been skimping on the lettuce lately. >:

Cap'n Crunch May 17th, 2003 04:06 PM

I don't know why, but I am going to be watching this movie tomorrow night.

Ninjavenom May 17th, 2003 06:19 PM

Hitler has to be one of the most interesting men in history.

Zomboid May 17th, 2003 09:30 PM

YA THINK SO NINJER?! THAT'S RADICAL THINKING AND IT FRIGHTENS ME.

I don't like the idea of robert carlyle as hitler, but I'll watch cause I've been into that shit for years :/

Captain Robo May 18th, 2003 07:44 PM

Robert Carlyle was not at all a convincing Hitler.

ItalianStereotype May 19th, 2003 03:01 AM

since you know Hitler personally, inside and out, right? fucking moron.

i actually liked this show, despite the fact that a lot of it pisses on what actually happened. :/

Captain Robo May 19th, 2003 08:04 AM

Coming from someone who's country allied hitler in WWII....

From stock footage I've seen from the 1930's and stuff, I'd say that Carlyle would probably faint if he saw how that bastard really acted.

Ninjavenom May 19th, 2003 08:49 AM

Indeed, i am so shocking with my views on Hitler, aren't i? Sig Heil!!
:heil

Cap'n Crunch May 19th, 2003 09:37 AM

I watched the SImpsons. I regret my decision.

AChimp May 19th, 2003 09:42 AM

:heil should be a real emoticon. >:

I watched maybe the first hour or so and have a question. Maybe some of you guys are Hitlerphiles. The movie glossed over his early life prior to his involvement in the socialist worker's party. The movie didn't give me any insight into what began his sublime hatred of the Jews. Not that it would justify anything for me ... evil is evil. I'm just curious. Did I miss something? I mean, I guess I can understand a little bigotry. I think that just about everyone has a streak of some bigotry to some group or other to some degree whether they're willing to admit it to themselves or not. That bastard killed ... What? Six million Jews. What rationale/dementia could have possibly motivated that kind of evil commitment to hatred?

Bennett May 19th, 2003 01:05 PM

What I want to know, is if the movie shows when they kidnapped Super Joe, and then revived Hitler using teh Albatross project, and then I used my bionic arm to swing down and shoot out the front window of the helicopter, and then Hitler's face exploded.

How did they do that?

kellychaos May 19th, 2003 01:09 PM

Blue screen ... jeesh! :rolleyes

Ninjavenom May 19th, 2003 02:34 PM

Hitler wanted the jews erased because as a young man, it was fairly obvious to he and his buddies that jews ran the German government at the time. That is to say, the Reichstag was filled to the brim with Jews, and Hitler wanted them gone. He also read some book (i forgot what it was called, it's in the Rotten.com library) that details a "secret metting" of a convention of jews running the world, or something as such. He was under the impression that jews ran the world, so he wanted them all dead, so he could rise to power.
