I haven't had personal experience, but my long time girlfriend went through several different kinds od anti-depressant drugs, and I'd say most have probably harmed her more than helping her in the long run.

She was on this shit Depicote (sp?), which is apparently really rough stuff. The answer for most doctors these days seems to be rather reactionary, like, drug them up, sedate them, that'll fix them. She isn't sick like she used to be, but her memory is shit now, post-drugs.

I'd say do research on any pills they wanna shove down your throat....
