Wait a friggin' minute, vegans!
According to an article I skimmed through a while back, plants feel pain and can communicate it to other plants. For example, if a flower is being devoured by locusts, it can send out pheromones to other plants, warning them to engage their chemical defenses.
So there's NO form of diet that can completely avoid inflicting pain on some living thing. "Meet Your Meat" is just another form of ecoterrorism.
