I guess I must not be a liberal then, because nothing you just said offended me, except the connotation that such things offend all liberals.
Most of the things that liberals want to dictate tend to affect other people, like telling people not to be racist, whereas conservatives, paticularly religious conservatives tell people to do things that have no effect on anyone else. Such as 'don't be gay' or 'don't do drugs' or 'no sex before marriage'.
But yes, there are liberal dumbasses that get overzealous in their pursuit of equality, but I'd say they're more left wing authoritarians, whereas true left wing liberals like myself
tend to relax a little more on such issues. Maybe I'm just an anomaly though :/
