Don't shoot yourself in the foot, man. If anything, make your children watch questionable stuff that rocks like anything by Peter Jackson pre-LOTR, Friday the 13th to Number 6, The Texas Chainsaw Massacre and GWAR.
If you're going to scare your children, you might as well do it with something you like and that rocks. Fuck scaring them for spite's sake.
