Uhh, but isn't that sort of the Secret Service's job....? I mean, I know most folks here dislike Bush, as do I, but doesn't such a security measure kind of transcend Bush?? Don't we ultimately want our executive officer to be kept out of harms way...?
Protesters are entitled to protest anythin they like, speak out against whatever they like, but nothing in the Bill of Rights says the receiver of such demonstration must be able to see it....
Don't get me wrong, I'm not a big fan of "free speech zones." My campus tried to pull that shit last year, and we made them look like fools in the media for it. But this guy IS our president. Lincoln wasn't shot by an ally, he was essentially shot by a protester. McKinley wasn't shot by a friend, he was shot by an Anarchist, a disgruntled protester. And on and on....
