Put your computer in Safe Mode.

If you already know how to do it, then ignore the next paragraph.

Go to Start, then Run. Type in "msconfig". Click "Advanced...", then check in "Enable Startup Menu". Restart the computer, then when the menu appears, select Safe Mode. Then commence defragging.
