saw it. loved it. going to see it again next week.

as for all of you highbrow types that keep saying people won't "get it," poooooo on you. i know nothing, NOTHING, about old japanese films, and i don't think it really matters. if anything it makes me want to learn more about the films qt is trying to emulate here, but i don't think i "missed" anything because i didn't pick up on all the subtle nuances.

the characters were a tad bit flat, but i think that will be made up for in the second movie. lucy liu was brilliant and her story/character made the film.

james? go see it in a theatre. seriously. there's no way in hell you could appreciate this on a 25, 27, even 35 inch tv.
