It's probably a ratings thing. From what I know, Oblongs gets about 600,000+ viewers a night which makes me wonder who the fuck watches this show. Also, I think Cartoon Network is trying to promote Will Farrel's new movie Elf by reruning the Oblongs. It appears that Cartoon Network doesn't care about showing good shows anymore
