You're right, it is a title to a poor attempt at humour.
Generally, I find right-wing commentators (eg. Rush Limbaugh, Dennis Miller), or their cartoonist not very funny, and I suppose one of the reasons is because they're generally pro establishment, which goes against human nature to root for the underdog.
