Did the guy die in the house? My parents old house would really freak me out. The entertainment center was in the basement and the pantry was down a long dark hallway where we called it The Crypt.
I never got used to being alone in that basement. Just the feel of it creeped me out. From time to time the walls in the house would creak and groan, it always gave me the feeling that there was someone else in the room.
