Actually when I got my Prince Albert it didn't hurt at all. Getting my ear pierced hurt significantly more. Ugly as hell is your opinion, but I like how it looks. Infections and diseases is - depending on the spot pierced - completely inaccurate. Mucous membrane heals quicker than any part of the body so infection with tongue and most genital piercings is quite rare.
