So yesterday I was at work and a 60 year old guy comes up to me and says "a nickles will buy you a pickle" and asked me ever heard that before. I told him that I hadn't, so he promptly judges that I wasn't born in america because i had brown skin and never heard "a nickles will buy you a pickle." I told him that I was born in Chicago and I lived in Illinoise my whole life. He told me that when he was my age everyone used to say that. I couldn't mention how he was probably my age during the first world war, because my supervisor was at the register right across from mine. So I gave him his change and put on an artificial smile and told him to have a good night.
