If your personalities had or have alot in common then time shouldn't really be a factor in it, I just wanted to know if this was a serious relationship or not.
What do you mean by "we both met each other when we were 18 so we had alot in common back then". Both of you being 18 isn't that big a compatability. I'm assuming you mean in repect to your lifestyles though, which would still suggest that personality wise you don't have alot in common, rather your lifes were both synced well back then.
There is a big difference between being able to do stuff together and wanting to do stuff together.
But seeing that you've known eachother for 6 years I no longer feel that I can offer you any real advice on this. As the longest relationship I've ever had was an impresive 2 months.
Your best bet is with Protoclown's suggestion. And time is of the essence. MAKE HASTE.
