I was manually flipping channels yesterday, and I crossed one of the the MTVs. One of LP's new videos was starting, showing the singer walking around a tiny room with Gundam toys.

Then, the actual music started. Same old shit. Same little DJ scratching here, a little synthesizer here, a little rapping from the asian guy, some whiny screeching from the singer.

I admit I used to like LP. I even have their album. Maybe that's because I never listen to the radio or watch MTV, and they weren't fed down my throat. But after hearing the songs a couple dozen times, it dawned on me that they really have very little holding their songs together.
