Most waitresses (and waiters, for that matter) act friendly and subserviant because it's ... like ... their job to do so and the better at it they are, then the more tips they get. It's a simple survival instinct. I think the fella a few posts back had it right, "You're paying for the titty mark-up." Nothing more. I hate to be a buzz-kill but the place is really not that big a deal.
