I had a 7-string for a while. It took a little bit of adjusting, but I felt pretty comfortable with it. I think they're great. That extra string adds a lot of possibilities to what you can do.
Unfortunately, at the time, I wasn't really playing much, so I ended up selling it.
I will never sell another guitar.
