Yes it is basiclly blood rushing to your head. But if it happens frequently it could be a sign of Anemia. I have Anemia and sometimes when i stand up i will loose my vison for upwards to 30 seconds, i will loose all sence of balance making me fall down and i will get a horrible taste in my mouth. One time i actually almost fainted.
The best thing to do is after it happens is take a drink of water, i know it doesnt seem like it will do a lot, but it will do something.
