That show pisses me off. I know it's meant for tv and all so it's not going to be accurate b/c most of the storylines wouldn't exist if they did it accurate but most people think they are learning law from the show and argue legal theories with me based on this show.
Hint to everyone, Judge Judy, Texas law, law and order, CSI, Judging Amy and all other legal related shows are for entertainment value and DO NOT teach you how the system really works. It's only on occasion they get it right but that is the minority. Just enjoy it for entertainment people!
