Sounds like a religion based on selfishness. The compassion and empathy I feel towards other human beings fall more under The Golden Rule which, I think, inherent in people and has nothing to do with religion.

Another question. Doesn't the term "satanism" imply God and, if so, why would one choose "evil" over "good"? From what I've read which you provided, satanism doesn't really involve much of either entity. Why use the term "satanism" at all when it's more of an epicurial, pagan thing?
