"Gematria" of the new testament is just called "numerology" because IT'S NOT WRITTEN IN HEBREW. It seems like that'd be an easy factoid to remember. And I'm not going to take the time to compare numerlogical values of different declensions of the greek names of Jesus and John since it's sufficient to say that any equalities therein would just be metaphysical consequence of their being related.

Like the classic example in Gematria, "Yahweh" is "love", you can't use them interchangably lest you incur the funny contradiction of Love destroying Sodom and Gemorrah then turning Lot's wife into a pilar of salt.
