Well, at least in other doom games, it was fast-paced. Now, it's just RAAAR omg two guys just teleported on opposing sides of me, and my marine is too retarded to swtich to another weapon when I'm out of ammo instead of casually reloaded while my face is being et. Better quickload, then just toss grenades around, now that I know it's going to happen!

What a game like this could SERIOUSLY benefit from:

-Come on. Flashlights throw out more light than that, due to light refracting from objects. Considering how much other bullshit is being numbercrunched this shouldn't be a problem, but if there are processor concerns just have the flashlight raise the ambient light level of the room a bit to compensate.
-Marine cannot hold flashlight and pistol simultaneously for what reason? Because It'd actually give you a reason to use the pistol after stage 5?
-Quickloading causes the game to cycle to another pattern of enemy placement
-Quicksaves are limited per level (as most other games like this have figured out already)
-Performing futuristic maintenence tasks were never at the top of anyone's wishlist in gaming
-Being in the dark is only scary when you have something to contrast it to. Have some areas that don't involve pipes and playing flashlight tag.
-Use the zombies, which are seriously awesome, in ways other than having 1 or two appear sometimes for the purpose of being instantly annihilated by whatever weapon you have. This game would have RULED if you had very little ammo and the base was flooded with zombies, as opposed to scary lizards that try to hit you with glowing rocks.
-There isn't a lot of point in having ragdoll effects if your enemies are goign to burn up or explode and vanish almost every time you kill them.

Much as I hate to say it, Quake 3 has actually brought me more entertainment thus far. The only real upshot I see of this whole situation is anticipation of the future games that will be made with this engine.
