1) It's called bills. We have to pay them, and for a big site like this, they're not cheap. If you'd like to donate the money it costs for the server each month, I'll be more than happy to remove the ads that pay for the free entertainment we provide you with.

2) The d4 ad you're refering to is on a few of the site's main pages right now as a test campaign which might end up making the site some decent money.
