anyway back on subject i think getting lessons from someone is much better than reading books or online tutorials because with a teacher you can actually hear what you are supposed to be playing and if you get it wrong they can tell you what you are doing wrong. Also its a good oppotunity to jam with someone who is very skilled (usually).
