Yes, the French provided Iraq with materials for Saddam's failed nuke project that Israel took out... but they also were the main source selling Israel the weaponry used in every major war they've engaged in.
It's impossible to seperate the inside dealings and hidden motives between the various NATO nations and several Middle Eastern nations.... it's stupid to play favorites... the situation with Russia's relationship with Saddam is just as sordid for example... that's what you get when the world invests massive interests in a sand pit.
