The Serious Situation clichés. Drugs, illnesses. Hell, even weddings. They always try to make the audience feel like there's this deep, meaningful situation happening, and it makes me laugh how stupidly these things are written.
I think the only show that made it work was MASH, but then I didn't consider that a sitcom anyways.
