Seriously, I believe it would all depend on his reaction after he belched. If he said right away "Excuse me, sorry about that"
And just looks embarassed about it, then it was just an accident.

If he laughs, or smiles, and thinks the entire thing was humorous, then that is different. Demand a apology, if he gives one right away, keep him.
If he gets defensive, dump his ass.
