Have someone sit on your stomach. The pressure helps. Or if they are too heavy and you don't want to be crushed, you can put a pillow on your back and have them sit on you that way while leaning their back up against something to take some of the weight away.
Perhaps you should get on the pill. It lightens your period and makes cramps less painful b/c of it. If they are that bad, it might be a good solution.
I've also found some exercise does help ironically. You have to get through a minute of pain or so to get going but once you do, it helps.
