stuff like lumpy gravy, weasels ripped my flesh, uncle meat, and 200 motels are not albums a first time zappa listiener should buy because it'll just sound messy and weird to them. albums like freak out, hot rats, absolutely free and joe's garage all prepare you for the weirdness and only then can you really appreciate them.
